We purchased 34 acres in the fall of 2022 with breathing taking views of mountains and farmland in Wantage, NJ. We began Highlander Farms in 2023 as both a lavender farm and Christmas tree farm with initial plantings of 200 Christmas Trees and three varieties of lavender totaling 500 plants.

In 2024, our home was completed and we had our second year of planting. We added an additional 900 lavender plants including three additional varieties and planted an additional 500 Christmas trees. We had our first bloom and harvest of the lavender planted in 2023.

During 2025, we’ll complete the lavender fields by adding an additional 800 plants and expect to have 1,300 to 1,400 lavender plants in bloom during late June through mid-July and we’ll open the farm to the public for the first time. We expect to add 400-500 Christmas trees to the fields each year and anticipate the first trees being ready for sale in 2028.
